You may want to PM or email Marty Broussard as he's played on Richard's steel many times. I haven't (and couldn't) but I believe he doesn't have the standard 9th D string. He moves his low B string to that position and adds another lower string for the 10th. His pedals and knees are not standard Emmons changes and has a universal type setup that only Richard seems to use. But how amazing is his playing and the extended tones he's able to achieve with it?!?! 🙂
