Sho Bud tuners.

Post by Alan Cook »

I need two tuners / machine heads for an 1970’s Sho bud I’m building, does anyone know what model number they are or what’s a suitable replacement? I only need 2 one of each hand but happy to buy a full set if needed. It’s a 12 string though you can see progress in builders corner.
Thanks. Alan.

Those appear to be Grover Rotomatic "Milk Bottles". I'm not sure if the steel needs some post or otherwise different spec from the normal 102s so don't just go by me. Probably someone around here has the exact information and likely a couple tuners like this.

Hopefully, someone else with respond soon.

I've got some chrome finish brand new Grovers like you need. I'm not sure how to send them to you.

Thanks Harley
But I'm in the Uk and shipping costs are probably too high! I'm going to see the guy I bought the parts from he thinks he still has the two he removed.

Alan,
Yeah, I sort of figured that shipping would be a problem. My first thought was to give you a call, but that probably wouldn't work either. I've been doing pedal steel stuff fo over 50 years and never throw anything away. I have given some parts to Jim Palenscar in California cause I know he'll use them in his business. If you need these let me know, we'll figure something out, don't really care about the money thing.
Cheers,
Harley
